Public Hearing Property Tax Abatement

Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 469.1813, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners will consider granting a property tax abatement to Robert Ferguson for new home construction located on Parcel: 22.344.0140, Legal Description: Lot 4, Block 2, Hanson’s 4th Addition in the City of Heron Lake, in Jackson County, Minnesota. The total estimated amount of the abated county property tax is $2,560 annually with a total estimated abatement of $12,800 over five years.

A public hearing is hereby scheduled at 9:00 AM on October 6th, 2026 at the Jackson County Board Room, Jackson County Government Center, 405 Fourth Street, Jackson, Minnesota to take comments on the proposed property tax abatement.
